How To Properly Install Wall Fountains And Create A Table Top Fountain
Indoor wall fountains are decorative pieces that could transform a dull looking space into the focal point of a home. They instantaneously produce a relaxing environment through the sound of cascading water outlining the wall. Again and again, these water features are commonly placed at the entry ways to make sure that they are seen by visitors. However, if you want to make things a bit different for your home, you can place these decorative water features in any place inside the comforts of your crib.
To set up wall fountains, it is important to have these tools near you so that you don't have to go back and forth in your garage to pick them: drywall anchors, screw driver, a pencil, a drill and a hammer. Before you start with your mission, try to read the instructions included in the package of your wall fountain so that you can be assured that you are not missing anything. Try to consider that there are some fountains that are already set up, and there are also others that have parts that needs to be connected before they can be actually put in place. If you're worried about the connections though, don't worry because most of the connections that you need to do are already direct processes that are easy to follow; however, it is still necessary to refer to the instructions as fountain models vary from one another.
The next thing to do is to locate the best possible flat wall surface where the water will flow smoothly, but a wall with ridges, curves and other patterns could also make a more dramatic effect for your water fountain. After which, make a mark on the wall where you will place the fountain. Once you're done making marks, it is time to decide on how you will affix your fountain. Wall fountains can be affixed in two ways: the first one is by creating small holes at the back of the fountain where you can drive in the screws, and the second option is by installing a bracket on the wall where you can simply hang the fountain.
As the second option is the easiest way to have a wall mounted fountain, the next thing that you have to do is to drill holes where you will place your anchors, where you will eventually place the fountain brackets. When the anchors and brackets are already in place, carefully suspend your wall fountain. Before you actually plug the cord, make sure that you already fill your fountain with the right amount of water; enough to cover the water pump, but not too full as the water may bubble over the edge of the basin while in use. If all the things are set, you can now plug your wall fountain and enjoy its beautiful and stress relieving prowess.
If you're a bit tight on budget but you still want to have your own water feature, you can simply opt for a homemade tabletop fountain. This small water feature is a project that you will surely enjoy making. All you need are plastic tubing, a pump, stone ornaments, and a medium to large size ceramic, clear or colored glass bowl. To begin your project, place the water pump inside the bowl and then attach the plastic tubing to the pump.
Once you have placed the pump and tube inside, you can fill the bowl with your stone ornaments or other accents to make it more aesthetically appealing. These stones can also hide the cord of the pump, or if you want you can just tape the cord to the side of the bowl that is not too visible. Fill the bowl with water until the pump is submerged. After this, you can now plug in the cord and take pleasure in watching the cascading water of your homemade tabletop fountain.
Wall fountains are water features that are not only decorative but are truly relaxing and comforting. With both its decorative and stress relieving prowess, many homeowners are now option for a wall mounted fountain inside their homes. If you want to have a water feature inside your home but cannot afford a wall fountain, you can simply make your own tabletop fountain, which is much easier to maintain and set up.
